May 6 class

My lession this Wednesday went very good . Dorothy saw some improvments in the sound . We are still working on the tecnique how to get the lower nots sound more clear and full.
Dorothy gave me a book of scales by Paul Taffanel. Also an Art and technique book by Marcel Moyse, I’m going to practis the first pages of each book slowly still concentrating on the sound . Last week I had to practis by playing and singing the sonata Bwv 525 by Bach , and this week I have to practis playing slowly . Also I am reading about Bach ‘s music style and his biography, Dorothy sugessed that so this way I it will help my playing and also I will learn how to speak like a real musicion.

04/29/09 My first class with Dorothy Wu

After six years of not been able to play the flute and continue my education, finally now I’m working on makeing my dream come true.
I had my first class om April 29 with Dorothy Wu great flutist and even better teacher .For the first time I learned from Dorothy to really lisen to the sound that I’m produsing and the technique how to make the clean sound.
Dorothy notesed some habits that I have while I play the flute I learned from her to concentrate and put all my energy in the sound . She showed me a technique how to play and sing in the same time . An ather technique that I learned was to make the sound of a trumped with a flute. The reason for this exercises is that I can make the sound more full and more volume when I play the flute.
